Featuring Ravette and Eloquence

Summer, Year 1997, Auster Wood

Ravette:

It was another hot day in Austerian as Ravette was making her way through Auster Wood with the dragon companion that stuck to her side. The dragon has been with her for only a few years now since she found them one day deciding to let the little dragon come live with her because the small dragon was found alone. They had been close since that day as it took a bit for the earth dragon to trust her, Ravette was patient though because the trust suddenly came. It was normal to find the young dragon clinging to her back since that was their favorite place to be when making their way through the forests around Austerian.

Ravette was making her way through the familiar wood since there were a few certain herbs that she needed to bring back to her home. She had to keep them on handy for the ones that she was taking care of or ones that would need her help in the near future. Healers were needed since injuries or illness could show up at anytime, she could be busy sometimes when it came to helping other. She enjoyed it though since helping people were the one thing that she has always wanted to do, hopefully someday she can teach her own child the same things that she has learned along the way. Only time will tell if that will happen since Ravette hasn’t been luck with being able to find someone to start a family with.

Once Ravette got to a clearing, she started to look around to see if she could find any of the herbs that she was looking for. It was important to keep them on hand since there were a few Austerians that needed them for the ailments that were affecting them especially during the harsh weather that had a bad habit of appearing out of nowhere.

Eloquence:  

    Eloquence was roaming around the giant Auster trees, minding her own business. It was peaceful in the forest and quiet; her favorite as she is herself. She never has been much of a talker, unless spoken to first. Eloquence had just graduated from an aspiring healer to a healer. She is a bit anxious about her new role in the Austrian community, but she wants to do well. While roaming around the forest she thought that maybe she should start looking for different herbs and/or plants that could possibly become useful in the future, and learn where they grow.

    Eloquence came to a clearing, and she saw a familiar doe from the Austrian herd. Being that she was introverted, she sulked back into the trees. Her brown coat helped her blend into the trees; after waiting there for a few seconds she worked up the courage to approach the Austrian doe. Very faintly almost a whisper she said, “Hello.” trying not to spook her.

Ravette:

The peace of the forest was always a good thing and one of the few things that Ravette enjoyed, there were many things that were her favorite though. The chestnut doe could be a bit shy sometimes, but she does enjoy the company of others. Ravette had been anxious about when she first became a healer, but now she wasn’t at all since she had trust in her abilities now. There have been many other Austerians that she has helped along the way and ones that she is still helping now.

Rave along with her dragon companion continued to search for the herbs that she needed, it was never too hard for her to find them though. She knew the best places where they grew in the forest since she came across them one day. Ears flickered toward the sudden hello that came from the bushes, Ravette sniffed the air for a moment to figure out who was there

“Hello.”

Eloquence:

    Eloquence slowly approached the doe while somewhat smiling awkwardly. “H-hey, I’m Eloquence, but you can call me Ell for short.” Ell glanced at the ground before continuing, “You are one of the healers, right?” As she asked that question her attention went to the dragon companion. Being curious about the companion, she was going to ask a question or two about it, but decided to keep her mouth shut until the other introduced herself.

Ravette:

Ravette watched Eloquence approach figuring that she probably was pretty shy, she nodded once the doe introduced herself “Nice to meet you Eli, I’m Ravette.” With a shift of her feet, she turned to face the one that had approached her “I am.” The brown dragon was nosing around one of the bushes searching for some herbs to bring back to her since they knew what to look for.

Eloquence:

Ell’s face brightened up with happiness. “I’m actually pretty new to all of this healer stuff...I honestly didn’t get much training when I was five” She replied shyly. She looked at the little brown dragon that was poking through the bushes “How long have you had that little guy? Does it have a name?”. She lowered her head slightly, curiously watching him.

Ravette:

The chestnut nodded as she listened to Eloquence mention about her training “You still have plenty of time to learn, don’t worry about it.” The earth dragon was poking through the bushes still looking for the herbs still to bring back to Ravette “For about a year already, his name is Ascelin.”

Eloquence:

“That is a very unique name...I love it! Do you think we could train together at some point?” Eloquence shifted her feet. She proceeded to walk towards Ascelin, and tried to study the bushes he was poking around in. “What type of herbs are you looking for? I’ll gladly help you!” , she said cheerfully.

Ravette:

“Thank you, it’s a good fit for him.” She gave a gentle smile “Of course, I can help you with any training that you need.” Ascelin continued to poke around the bushes looking for the herbs that Ravette was looking for since he knew what they looked like “Like the ones in the basket over there, they help with relieving pain from wounds and aches.”

Eloquence:

Eloquence replied, “You’re welcome!” as she walked over to the basket. She studied the herbs appearance carefully making sure she got every little detail. “Okay, got it.” Eloquence trotted gracefully to a bush that looked similar to the one Ascelin was poking at; she began searching for that particular herb that Ravette showed her.

Ravette:

With a nod, the chestnut doe moved to go pick up a few herbs up herself putting them into the basket since they were needed to replace the ones that had been used last time. Ascelin continued to poke around the bush looking for the herbs himself to bring back to Ravette. She would have plenty to bring back for her patients knowing what herbs were needed at the moment
