Celtic had been living in Phantom's herd for the past year with her friend Seralth and the other mares that joined. She was happy in his herd though being at peace with the other herd members and enjoying the company from Phantom. Celtic would eventually become a mother to one of Phantom's offspring once it was the season of spring. 

Months passed by as the foal that Celtic was carrying grew each day until it came for the day for delivery. Celtic had been grumpy the last few days only letting Seralth come near her because of the grumpiness plus she didn't want to take it out on anyone. It was the afternoon with the sun high up in the sky, Celtic had slinked off to find someplace to lay down at since it was time for the foal to come. It would be hours before the foal would actually arrive, but she wanted to be alone until the foal was born. 

Finding a good place to lay down at which was shaded and well-hidden from any predators that would be in the area, Celtic moved to lay down at with a small snort. She laid her head down on the ground breathing heavily already, laying there in wait for her unborn foal to be born.
